QuickArrow Holds First Customer Conference in Austin
QuickArrow XChange brings QuickArrow executives and customers together for two days of seminars and discussions
AUSTIN, TX. - February 28, 2001...QuickArrow, Inc. held their first user group conference in Austin, Texas at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel on February 20-21, 2000. This inaugural event brought representatives from QuickArrow's rapidly increasing customer base of more than eighty companies together for two days of seminars and meetings with QuickArrow executives and product managers.
The conference gave customers an opportunity to interact with the QuickArrow management team and other QuickArrow software users while providing input into QuickArrow's product enhancement roadmap. Patrick Ward, Vice President of Consulting Services of Cardiff Software, a QuickArrow customer, led a discussion regarding the impact ECS has had on Cardiff's consulting engagements. "Since day one QuickArrow has been committed to working with their customers to solve the real world engagement issues services firms encounter. We were very excited to participate in this event and discuss the positive impact ECS has had on our business," said Patrick Ward.
Conference attendees participated in numerous meetings regarding QuickArrow's professional services automation software product line, Enterprise Consulting Suite (ECS). QuickArrow executives led discussions focused on new ECS functionality, service automation best practices and knowledge management trends within the professional services industry and ECS users attended a series of user group sessions concentrated on maximizing the capabilities of QuickArrow's role based service automation and collaboration tools.
"Our customer base has grown very rapidly over the last year and we were anxious to engage our users in a collective discussion regarding their experiences with ECS," said QuickArrow CEO Phil Guy. "Our product development direction has always been a result of interaction with those who use our software, but this was the first time we have brought representatives from our base of customers together for a series of discussions regarding ECS. This conference gave us a great opportunity to solidify the relationships we have with our users and is a benchmark event in the evolution of QuickArrow."
In addition to presentations on ECS and service automation, representatives from Koch Ventures and Austin Ventures discussed QuickArrow's rapid growth trajectory and their involvement in QuickArrow's recent second-round venture funding.
The conference keynote address, "Success in Professional Services: It's All In Your Head," was delivered by noted author and acclaimed information and knowledge management speaker Dr. Thomas Davenport. Davenport, who was recently named one of the twenty-five e-business gurus by Darwin magazine, discussed the role of knowledge in today's services business environment and touched upon many of the themes of his new book, The Attention Economy, which will be released in April of this year.
