QuickArrow, Inc. Obtains Unqualified SAS 70 Type II Certification for its Professional Services Automation Business
Austin, TX – July 28, 2005...QuickArrow, Inc., the leading provider of automation and management software for Billable Services Organizations, announces it has received an unqualified SAS 70 (AICPA Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70) Type II report. The examination by globally recognized accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP, included applications of QuickArrow, its internal control processes, and site operations.
“Obtaining an unqualified SAS 70 Type II examination report reflects our commitment to provide the privacy, security and reliability of our On Demand services offering,” said Elizabeth Davis, CEO of QuickArrow. “Ongoing independent SAS 70 examinations of our processes and controls will provide our clients with continued confirmation of the effectiveness of our operations and services we deliver.”
SAS 70 is an internationally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is identified by Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act as a component of the reliance upon service organizations. A SAS 70 examination indicates that a service organization has been subject to an in-depth look at its control activities, including controls over IT and related processes.
SAS 70 Type II reports include a description of a service organization's controls and safeguards when hosting or processing customer data, as well as lists of tests performed by the independent auditor, generally for a minimum period of six months. A SAS 70 Type I report includes only a service organization's description of controls at a specific point in time and the auditor's opinion is limited to whether the controls were placed in operation and suitably designed.
